my lo is 6 months and we started weaning 3 weeks ago.
he has taken it to it really well, and sits up opening his mouth wanting his next mouthful

he has

7oz milk for breakfast at 6-30-7
half weetabix and fruit, or baby porridge at 8

bottle 7oz offered but has about 6oz, at 10am

12.30 lunch - 3 cubes of vegetables

1.30-2pm 7oz milk

5pm dinner, 3 cubes ,will consist of meat and veg, with 1 cube fruit puree with baby rice

6pm 7oz milk

he always seems to want more food and i dont know how much i should be giving him, i tend to weigh out his portion ie 2oz and then deduct
that amount in milk he was on 8oz x 4. i now offer 28oz but he leaves about 4oz

should i be feeding more, or less or is it about right,
i want to start introducing pastas etc soon

That sounds like quite alot at the moment. Weaning usually starts with one meal a day increasing over a few weeks. You dont want him to start dropping milk feeds for another couple of months yet so I wouldnt give any more and would decrease his solids if he started refusing milk. Remember solids are much harder to digest than the milk he has been having since birth and his body needs to learn to digest it which is why solids are introduced slowly.

That doesn't sound honestly like much less than my son has and he is 8 months, weaned from 4 months as advised by his pediatrician. Maybe cut back a bit on the food x
