my baby is 6 weeks today and does a number 2 every 2 days. Is that normal?

Thanks!

Yeah :) As long as she's going and isn't struggling I wouldn't worry too much :)

Mine goes once a day, usually in the morning first thing, sometimes twice but only if we're very lucky!!! lol

Mine was every 3 days sometimes 4! Used to worry me sick but it was just her.

mine seems to do one, be ok for 12 hours, then start straining until she does the next approx 36 hours later!

if shes straining you might need to give her extra water speak to your health vistor mine told me to make his bottle and add one less scope of powder so he got some extra water if he was straining

he goes roughly everyday x

pooing was a major topic of mine for Freddies first 8 weeks...he is now 11 almost. He was only going 1x every 5 days and a bit constipated so i changed to Aptamil comfort for a few weeks, it helped but the poos were rank and the trumps even worse!! I spoke to a friend whom suggested a teaspoon of apple juice (hipp organic baby) and 2 teaspoons of water in a bottle 3x a day. Thats what her doc told her to do when her baby struggled at 3 days old!!! So, I tried it......it worked!! I moved him back to Aptamil NORMAL, and i was getting a poo every other day, i persisted and as of last week stopped the juice coz we are now having a poo 2x a DAY!! they are good and yellow as they should be!! you just have to persist and it does get bette, but yes the GP and HV said formula babies and be 5x a day or 5x a month ;-)

My little man is every 3 or 4 days. Always has been. He's on Aptamil 1. It's getting a bit more frequent now he's on solids but is still not everyday. If every 2 days is your LO's pattern and they're not struggling to poo etc then I really would't worry X

When Evie was that age, she was going a couple of days without a poo but then she'd do a HUGE one, or a few in one day lol!
As long as LO isnt straining hard (some straining is normal and usually quite loud!) or in any discomfort, and the poo isnt hard and nobbly then it's normal :)
