I just had my 2nd c-section and was wondering the cap on how many kids I can have and carry health wise. I know that at a certain point your uterus just can't do it anymore because of the incisions. The thought of having a cap on how many I can have upsets me, I was hoping to have 5/6 kids :/

My sister has had 5 sections. Her last 2 pregnancies she was on complete bed rest from 32 weeks x

S there a reason that you'd have to have sections? I was just thinking you can have as many as you want if you go for vbac?

X

I tried for a vbac this time but she wouldnt come out :( next time I was thinking of trying again

I had a C-section with my first and now, expecting my second, I am going to try for VBAC. I have the same worries as you, I'm hoping for a large family.

My dr said 3 and then after that the risks increase and he tried to encourage me into getting tubes tied but it's not for me , I want a large family too x

I was told by my doctor that she would do 4 comfortably. She said if I really wanted I could do 5 but it would make her nervous...

I've just had my 4th section and as my womb was now paper thin I had my tubes done. I think it depends on your womb and how t heals etc.. :)

I think it depends on your body. i have had 3 c sections, and my Dr (after concieving of course lol) says that he will allow me to have a VBA3C as long as the hospital (can't think of his title- specialist in high risk pregnancies ; ) ) approves it. He said more than likely he will. It really depends on the type of incisions you have had. Don't be discouraged!!!! Neither one of my Dr's personally have stated that I have to stop at some point. My first 3 pregancies I delivered vaginally and the last 3 were sections. None of my doc's told me I had to stop in fact my reg OB GYN was "encouraging" me to get pregnant. I think it's really just the Dr's opinion. And Im sure you will find every DR will have a different opinion. Trust me- I work with 30 of them LOL

It really depends so your body.
I will be having my 5th c/s with this lo, and my doctor isn't concerned. She says everything looks great. I've never been put on bed rest or anything, and I've never been considered high risk.
For the first time, I am getting more ultrasounds with this one (one at every appt, starting now, which will be every 4 weeks then every 2) because she said there is a slight band of scaring low in the uterus from the previous c/s, no where near baby or placenta, which is good. As of now, she hasn't said what she thinks of another, but we feel like our family is complete with 5 anyway :)
So a large family is definitely possible!

My neighbour has had 8 c sections, no problems with any of them. She's a counsellor now with a caesarean helpline.

A friend of mine had 3 in 3 years via c section. Her first was an emergency c section, and I think with her 2nd she tried to have a vbac but it didn't work out. And then she had her 3rd via c section (no vbac attempt). She had a 4th child via c section 2-3 years after her third (honestly can't remember exactly how many years between her 3rd and 4th!).

It depends on your situation and how you heal. I have had 3 c-sections and I'm going to have my 4th in March. My doctor says I can have as many children as I want because I heal so well and have no scar tissue.

My friend had 5 c-sections and was told after the 5th that she couldn't have anymore kids. So I think you should be good to have at least the 5 you wanted! :D

I'm not pregnant I just had my lo in dec but it was my 4th and my 3rd was in the same year I had 2 boys in 2013 and my dr never mentioned anything and said there was no risk when I asked him I do think it depends on everyone's body some peoples body can't take 2 cesareans and some I heard have done 7/8 I want a big family and I'm still waiting to have my girl which we will start when my period comes nick to normal an I was wondering the same question but really it's up to u I won't let anyone tell me when I have to stop having kids :)

You can have many C-section but after every one your risk of womb-rupture will increase !

Well since my dr hasn't said anything ill at least continue to my next one for my girl
