I got one at 12 weeks and will get another one at 20, but there is a local place (I am in Northern Kentucky right now) that does 2d, 3d, 4d scans and to get a regular 2d scan is only about 80$ compared to the much more expensive 3/4d. plus I'd like to get a scan done before my 20 week and I believe you have to be pretty far along for the 3/4d ones. I wish I could get one, but the way I see it, if I'm 35+ weeks along I'd rather save 200$ and wait a few more weeks to see the real baby lol!
So I guess about 2 is normal unless you have complications or really great insurance!

Normal in the UK is about 12 weeks

Normal in the UK for a scan so early is because of high risk pregnancies but the 12 week scan still follows then a 20 week scan

I had at 7 & 8 due to high risk
