How many times per day - confused

Ok so I have always wondered this.

I know your supposed to feed 8-12 times per day. If you feed on both sides at 1 sitting is this classed as one feed or two. I had an app for my phone in the beginning that said 2 but i always thought it would be 1.

Just wondering cos Livi typically feeds 6-7 times in 24 hours but does both sides at every sitting.

What is the general consensus.

yea thats 1 feed.

i dont count feedings, LO eats every 2-4 hours, usually every 3 sometimes 2 or 4 so .. as long as your lo is doing good and gaining weight i wouldnt obsess over it tbh

My LO is feeding every three hours or so, she's pretty regular. I never thought to worry about how often shes feeding. I just trust her to tell me when shes hungry.

I know she is doing fine and I need to stop stressing about it. I guess then since she feeds both sides... it keeps her fuller for longer so she feeds roughly 5 times per day then.

Ended my reply to soon, she is on the 95% percentile for weight so she is gaining really well.
