Hi all,

Can you tell me how much formula/cow's milk babies should have at 12 months. I keep thinking that my lo shouldn't be on bottles anymore and only having a small amount of milk but he cries for it so he has:

After breakfast - 6oz
After lunch - 5oz
At bedtime - 8oz

Is this ok or should I be reducing it? I'm going to try to move him onto a sippy cup but not sure he'll drink much from it.

Thanks

id say thats fine, but charlie has 7-9oz as soon as he wakes up, and 7-9oz when he gets in to bed, he sits on the sofa and drinks it himself on a morning and on a night i give him his bottle in bed when hes finishes it he throws it away and goes to sleep, my HV said i SHOULD be giving him it in a cup but he wont drink it so he's still getting it in a bottle x

Hannah's milk intake has always been on the low end. I'd say she has tops 12 ounces of cows milk throughout the day (plus yogurt and cheese) and 8-12 ounces of water. Both are given to her in a sippy but she refused bottles fairly early and by a year old she was only having one so it wasn't very difficult to get her off the bottle

Jasmine is the milk/dairy queen... lol she likes her milk too much, im hoping by 12 months we will be down drastically... now she has between 16-20oz of formula, i've started putting an oz of cows milk in her bottler too.
