We've just had to move completely onto blw as LO became a spoon refuser! When we were TW it was easy to know how much to give him (well kind of we got into a routine anyway!) now we are BLW I'm not sure anymore.

How much is too much? How much is too little? How much should you offer?

Eg this morning he had pretty much a whole slice of toast with half a banana spread on and a couple of apple slices. I *think* that's enough?! Yesterday his breakfast went on the floor but he ate his whole tea and half his lunch?!

I don't want to overwhelm him with food so he doesn't eat, but how much do you feed?!

Violet isn't quite in the age range you're asking about, but she'll be 10 months soon. I basically just feed her until she's done. I start with small portions of each thing and add bits as she goes to make sure she has as much as she wants. When she's finished, I eat her leftovers if they're not too scary. Just offer small portions of whatever and if he's interested and wants more, give more. If he's not interested or doesn't eat much, don't worry about it.
