How much do you spend on OH?

I was just wondering how much you typically spend on your OH...

my friends have said that he and I spend a lot on eachother and I think we do... but I didn't know what everyone else does..

Usually like $200-300

Before Olivia was born we always used to say £100 but probably spent more due to love shopping etc!!

This year we have promised each other to only spend a MAX £50 - i've already bought his, a gig ticket and i would like him to pay for my new tattoo £30-40

Now we've got baby we'd rather spend money on her, family holidays, saving for wedding etc

Cards are most important to me though!

Do you mean on gifts? Umm we just spend what we can afford mostly £25

more fun that way - we try to get something that is meaningful, but cheap.

We just see getting each other gifts as a token gesture really, our main money goes on friends and family and this year, LO too.

Last year i spent a fortune on my partner, i got a piece of art commisioned for him, it was done through a friend but still set me back £450, and he also got other bits and bobs but we knew that last year would be the last time we had any spare cash for big gifts.

This year it will be something cheap and meaningful

Roughly around £50 each. However, we're both hard to buy for so sometimes it's only a case of £20. It's the thought that counts though. Hopefully when LO comes it may make things a bit easier

I love Christmas and spend a fortune on everyone I care about, my husbands asked for this steering wheel thing for his PS3 which is around £120 which he'll be getting, he's also getting a PS3 game to go with it and then some little bits and bobs which I've almost finished getting. He's got 3 books, 3 dvds, a mug from Noah, a silly looking teddy from Mailie, a stretch Bart Simpson to take his stresses out on lol soap on a rope and a money box think thats it!

I always seem to spend way more than I think I will on the OH. Last year I think it came to about £300 but I bought things over the year so it wasn't money all in one go.

This year though I haven't got a clue what I can get him....hmmm....will have to look through the OH ideas thread some more!

We spend more on each others birthdays, Christmas is more about the presents we get for our family and friends than for each other. We were thinking about not spending any money on each other this year but I'm sure we will end up spending some, lol.
