How much does an HSG cost privately?

Hi girls,

We have been ttc for 18 months now (one bfp but MMC at ten weeks) and just been told that we may have another 4 months wait for an HSG after we see the specialist in three weeks time.

Have any of you gone private for this test? Can you give me an idea of how much it costs?

Hello!

We are in Cardiff and had HSG privately as the wait was so hideously long. As far as I can remember it was around £400 and they managed to do it on my next cycle (cause it needs to be around day 10 so that AF has gone but not ovulated yet)

Do you mind me asking how you found the clinic or did you have it in the hospital but just paid for it?

I have looked at a few clinics but they don't seem to offer the HSG.

It was in just the same place and with same nurses etc as NHS patients from hospital only we got a big bill sent through afterwards!! We were referred after IVF consultant appointment.
