How much to pump? Need help!

My son is 4 weeks old, he'll be 5 weeks by next Saturday and he feeds every hour for about 20-30 minutes. I EBF but I have a pump in case I need to be away. Well, next saturday, I have a babyshower to attend and I don't want to miss it. How much should I pump? I have a hungrt little boy and I'm worried about when I'll find time to pump and if it will affect my supply. I'll probably be away for 2-3 hours. I would love any advice.

You need to try with a bottle before then in case lo doesn't take to it. Pump 3oz and see how much he takes then you will have a good idea of what he needs. It sometimes takes a few attempts to produce anything with a pump first time so don't leave it until Friday night. First thing in the morning is usually the best time.

I decided to take him with me! My friend who's babyshower I'm going to told me to bring him. I'm really happy that she'll ok with it.
