How much TV does ur child watch?

it's on all the time if we're not out somewhere.
but jake doesnt really sit and watch it. certain things he will, chuggington and waybuloo. that's it!
perhaps a bit of come dine with me!
but he gets bored lol and goes off and does something else.

Blimey i must be the only one then.............

I have the TV on all day everyday, its always on the cbeebies or nick jr........... i like the background noise......... my eldest daughter rarely watches tv and neither does my youngest, i actually dont think she sits and watches whole programs at all.....she plays with her toys and more or less ignores the tv.

But like i said i like the background noise and would rather it be on a childs programme rather then a adult one such as jeremy kyle..........
even though my girls hardly sit and watch tv as such....you know wide eyed and fixated iykwim....they still pick up on things so would rather that be something child orientated than a chav with no teeth arguing about whos fathered baby number 15 lol x

 umm me too!! - and its the same channels :haha:

I like to have it on in the background, tbh Lucy doesnt watch that much, she will play with her toys and occasionally watch it if there is a programme on she really likes

I tend to find that on the occasions when the tv has been on and my sons been around it that he is a lot more hyperactive and aggressive once it's switched off. Very bizarre.

Another one here who has the TV on all day.

Never used to be

Currently we are watching Max and Ruby :)

Im so glad you posted this! we too have the tv on pretty much most of the day - especially at the moment, we are moving tomorrow and im spending all day on my own packing, so its so much easier to keep her from wandering around after me!!

Ruby tends to watch the tv every now and again, but her play area is nearby the tv, so having it on kind of just keeps her within her little area, which stops her from getting under my feet while im packing etc...

i must admit, i wish i could do more with her - she rarely plays with her toys alone, and she is too young to colour etc - we tried the other day and she ended up stamping the crayons into the carpet....I will be starting ft work soon though and ruby will be in creche then all day, so wont watch any tv, so it doesnt concern me a great deal. (plus its so cute watching her say 'night night' to every character on the night garden....! :baby:

I often put the TV on in the mornings, and sometimes even put CBeebies on but Ellie just isn't interested. Unless she's sleepy and sitting on my lap where she may watch it for 10 minutes, she ignores it completely!
