How much weight? :-(

Hi all i jumped on the scales last night and was mortified at how much weight i have put on ( i havn't weighed myself in 2 months)

I was just wondering how much everyone put on prior to having your LO's and how much dropped off instantly if you kept track?
Its really depressing me. I gave up smoking in the first month of pregnancy so that didnt help either :hissy:

In your bump pics towards the end it just seemed to be all bump though.
Did you wonder where it all was/is on your body?

Oh and i beat you lol 70lbs!! :hissy:

It just seemed so small compared to my bump. I feel very large now that bump is gone.

I am so glad I didn't hit 40.
Still have a few days to go but I really hope I don't.
I'm going to feel so fat when she's here.

:(

I never thought it would bother me as it took 9 months to put on etc and should pace myself after but now i know how frustrating it is not to know your own body.
Mine is also on my arse and thighs,my legs are like tree trunks with the swelling and im hoping 10lb in each trotter!
I dont know how some women only put on the "recommended" 28lbs!

My arse is almost as big as my bump. When my bump is gone my arse is gonna look HUGE..

Its all in my thighs. I kept saying that Im carrying twins in there. My mid section is shrinking day by day though!

i put well over 28lbs on when i was pregnant midwife said it was nothing to worry about but then i also got told its harder to loose after a c section thats my excuse lol i cant seem to budge any weight no matter what i do just left with this flap thing a huge ass and tree trunk legs lol

I put on about 55 pounds but I said I wouldn't weigh myself until my first dr visit this week.

I totally agree..... I think its just a ploy to make pregnant women feel even worse :hissy:

Im already hitting 35lbs!!! Im trying eat better now.... but hey Ive said that every time I feel down about it!!!

Do you end up with a big bit of hangy skin flesh bit too?
How on earth are you meant to get that back into shape if it hangs down like all flappy?
OMG this really scares me although i wasnt too worried about my body before really,i mean i wasnt a bikini or upper arm showing type lol but now im panicking :hissy:

I'm panicking about my weight as well. I know I am well over the 30 pound mark. I need to eat healthier, but a part of me just says "forget it". I'm trying to enjoy the food I normally don't allow myself. I'm hoping that breast feeding helps in weight loss and I hope I don't have an appetite or don't have time to eat so I can lose the weight. I wasn't a bikini body either. I was a healthy weight, not skinny but not fat (could lose a few pounds though). I hope I can wear my regualr clothes soon after the baby is born. I vow to stop drinking pop, cut down on coffee, eat clean meals instead of junk, drink tons of water and excercise as much as humanly possible. I hope I can do this.

My stomach is pretty flat now but it has a bit of a pouch. Mine doesn't really hang down or anything theres just a lower layer of fat that the mid/top section of my stomach doesn't have. It's only been 5 weeks for me though so I'm sure it gets better. I thought with the 55 lbs I gained my stomach would sag for sure but now that my stomach has gone done so much I can tell I gained in my thighs because they look much bigger.

I gained 48 lbs. and have lost 22. My tummy is not very big anymore. It's actually pretty flat. I'm very happy with how quickly my body is looking normal again. Now if only it would feel normal and not like I got hit by a truck.

Ok, I gained 28 lbs with my son, and as of this morning, I was 5 lbs away from my pre-baby weight. My tummy is now pretty flat, but I do have a little pouch going on. I think as my stomach heals from the c-section I will be able to work and get my flat tummy back. I have been really surpised and happy at how my stomach has gone down, and the weight is coming off.

Holl tell me about it, I totally feel like I got hit by a truck! A BIG ONE!!!

put on 60 lbs, all in my butt, my thighs and my upper arms. Now I've got flabby upper arms, a massive JLO butt with thousands of stretchmarks all over it.
I also have stretchmarks on my legs because they had gotten sooo damn swollen ! I'm so pretty. oh yeah!

I was watching The Baby Story and seeing these women that 5 days after having a baby were in jeans and taking care of the house and blah, blah, blah and I started to get frustrated because I still am REALLY sore and can't carry Izzie very far without feeling like everything is going to break apart. Anyway, DH reminded me that those women had 5 and 6 lbs. babies and I had an 11 lbs. baby so my recovery is going to be longer. I'm still frustrated by it!

Holldoll,

I had a 6 lb baby and it honestly took me 10 days to say AT LEAST to recover and feel somewhat normal again. You have gone through the shock of delivering a baby whose size even stunned the doctors, so just pat yourself on the back and take it easy, because you deserve the time and shouldn't be rushing.
