Hello,
I'm wondering if someone can shed some light on a matter for me, I'm wanting to express just one feed a day so that my husband can help out with feeding our daughter. My query is how much is one feed? Grace is breast fed so I have no idea how much to offer her. She is 4 weeks old on Tuesday and weighs 8.5lb.
I hope some one can help, thanks in advance

Work out roughly using this equation..

Babies weight in KGsx150ml/No of feeds in 24 hours = Amount for 1 feed...

Thanks for that, I've got a rough idea now.
I notice your in Nottingham, I'm in Nottinghamshire too!

Yay!! Its a great place... Where about r ya??

:hi: Welcome to BnB as well!!

Yer i know it!! Was ur daughter born in QMC as well then??

From what I've read, the amount of breastmilk a baby has shouldn't increase with age.

Have a read of this:

Last night she took about 40mls from a bottle. It was slow going but we got there.
I've got to lay off the bottles however as I think one of my breasts has become engorged/blocked so Grace is helping me out making it better.
I just want to get expressing so that DH and I can got to the cinema once in a while and also we have two grandmas desperate to baby sit!
