Formula do you make up for your baby?

My DS is 9 weeks old and i was making up 6flozs, but over the last two days he been wanting more so i make up 7floz (but he doesn't drin this much at all feeds - it varies).
Do you think this is too much?
Should i get hungry baby formula?

He has C&G number 1 and i am keen to buy Aptimal but don't know whether i should chance changing brands? what do you reckon?

Sorry for the questions x

I am not much help but Alex is 9wks on Tuesday and hes on between 5oz and 3oz a feed, but he only weighs just under 9lbs due to having surgery.
Alex tends to feed every 3 and a half to 4 hours but has about an 8 hour sleep overnight.
I was always told that Alex will take what he needs and no more if i think hes not had enough i change him then try him again with the btl.

I use aptimail and have had no problems with it but have been told that all formula milk is the same

I think it sounds like you're doing fine. Why switch formula brands if your LO is fine on Cow and Gate? My LO has always been fine on Cow and Gate. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :)
It does not sounds like you need hungry baby milk.
How often are you feeding him during the day?

I might have said change formula if you want, but we did and i regret it as she has had a bit of the runs so have went back to sma gold, even though that causes her bad wind.
I would go up to 7oz and forget the hungry baby formula - the bottles go up to 9oz usually.

Hope Alex is having a speedy recovery from his surgery x

Seb is feeding every four hours and tends to sleep longer overnight. He has around 5/6 feeds.
Thank you hun for your advice :-) i will stick with cow & gate and up to 7floz. i just worry that he is having more than he should be...I know they say babies will take what they want, but can they get greedy like us adults sometimes?

I'm a firm believer that healthy babies will take what they need. My LO takes 9oz every 4 hours in the day. Hungry babies are great! They take more milk in the day so can usually do nice long stretches overnight. If you'd like reassurance, just tell your HV how much LO is taking an how often and I'm sure she'll say it's fine. :)
