Well last week I put my baby on hungry baby milk (cow and gate) after advice from HV.
He's been on it 5 days now... feeds around 3 oz every 3 hours, I was just wondering what would be normal pooing? He seems to go almost all the time, but its a tiny tiny bit, everytime I look in his nappy which is usually after every feed he has a small smudged amount (around the amount of a large grape?) it isn't hard poo, quite soft but dry?
I ask just I seem concerned his tummy is a little firm and obviously one of the things I was looking for when changing him was constipation!
He has thrush ATM so is quite twisty so I'm unsure if his twisting is because of the pooing or the thrush, but he seems to get a little ease if I lift his legs!

Also my baby has terrible wind, he pumps about as loud as his Dad!

Hun I heard hungry baby milk is exactly the same as follow on milk with all brands except follow on milk just has more iron in?! I put my baby on hungry milk for 5 days and took her off it as she went constipated and would shriek in pain :-( she has to just down 5 ounces every 3 hours and be done with it on the first milk.

my baby has been on hungry milk for 2 weeks now and poops twice a day. it hasnt constipated him at all. as far as i am aware hungry milk is the exact same calorific value as normal milk but bulked up more to satisfy babies for longer. his poop is the exact same as when i breast fed him. same consitency and all. he is on aptimal
