Hi everyone, newbie here and have a question

I am mother to an 11 day old who wants feeding every two hours. He always takes between 30-60mls but it is now becoming as regular as clockwork every other hour. Is this normal, or should I try to feed him more even when he doesn't seem to want any more to increase the time between feeds?

Also, during the day he sleeps really well between feeds and we barely hear him, but as soon as we get to 9pm at night he wont settle at all and is awake between feeds right though until 6am. This is getting hard work.

Is there anything I can do to get him to eat more and sleep longer?

Thanks

Congrats :)

It's normal hun. At this age ur LO won't be able to take more than 60 ml per feed anyway. He will start asking for more after few days.

As for the sleeping hrs, babies can't diffentiate between day & night. It will take some time until they set up their own routine.

My advice, sleep when ur LO is sleeping

my 11 day old is taking 100-120 mls every 4 hours (ish) but we have the same in the evening not settling so well after a feed as she does during the day :(
