How old are you & how long?

I am 28 & ttc #1 for 9 cycles now, was hoping to have concieved & given birth before my 29th bday but have missed that milestone now
What annoys me the most is that you are made to believe that if you as much as sleep in the same bed as a man you will have a baby!!!

Oh how wrong the reality is!!!

Hey! I'm 26 and have been TTC for 4 cycles. I have to agree with you...I was on bcp for 8 years, and just can't believe how much time and money women spend to not get pregnant and then when the time comes to try it feels impossible! : (

Hi! I completely agree with both of you regarding the notion that getting pregnant is oh so easy!

I'm 30 and in the midst of our 10th cycle TTC #1. I was hoping to be comfortably pregnant by my 30th birthday, but that obviously didn't happen since I turned 30 yesterday! Now I'm just hoping that we conceive before this time next year!

Totally know what you mean about it being made to seem easy - the odds that people get pregnant accidentally really baffle me if I think too much about it!
A friend of mine works at a family planning clinic, and they had a girl in there once who was pregnant, and had had sex only once, and had never had a period. That means that the very first time she had sex just happened to be right when she ovulated for the first time - the chances of that happening must be SO SLIM!

I definitely feel the same as you all about being led to believe it was so easy to get pregnant. I've had irregular cycles since coming off the pill over a year ago, currently waiting for an appointment for a pelvic ultrasound to find out what's going on, I'm so worried we will have trouble ttc

I'm 30 and TTC #1. I came of BC around 3-4 weeks ago and just waiting for AF to show up so I can start keeping track of my cycles.

When I was 15, my 18 yo old got pregnant the very first time she DTD with her now husband, since that I've always made sure I didn't "get caught" not realising how hard it actually is. Lol.

Its so reasurring to hear from couples that are in the same boat as us, makes you feel less alone & unlucky! We havent told anyone we are TTC but it doesnt stop them banging on at you with those magic words "so when are you two gonna start popping babies out then???" OMG if i have heard that once ive heard it a thousand times!!! I would love nothing more than to "pop one out, now f off & mind your own business!!! Ha sorry girls, bit of a rant but it made me feel better

I just turned 27 in august, we have been trying for 4 cycles. I agree completely. I was completely fooled by the system into thinking pregnancy was sneeze easy, but apparently not! This is a great forum for venting and support, though!

Hi everyone! I'm 31 dh is 33 this is cycle #1 ttc our first. We were delayed quite a bit, after going off bcp I didn't get my period for 6 months!!!!!
