Might be a weird thread but I always think that my clock is ticking and maybe I'm trying for a baby too late. (can't be helped but you know?).. I'm 26 in September and wondering if my age could be going against me trying... I was just wondering how old everyone is and who is trying for the first time or how old were you when you had your first? :) Sorry if it sounds like a silly question

Ack! Say no such thing! You are definitely not "too late" to try for a baby.

I'm 27 and DH is 30 and we're TTC #1 and on cycle 3!

Wow, it seems like the majority of TTCers here are under 25! I feel old, lol. :haha:

Also feeling ancient now...am 31 and DH is 41...2nd cycle trying for #1
and I'm a size 22/24...this can't help!

I'm 25 ttc #2, had my boy when I was 20. This is our 3rd month trying but only 2nd cycle really as my body had to get back together after coming of bcp. I really want this to happen quickly not so much because I feel I'm getting old but because I don't want the gap between my 1st and 2nd to be too massive!

When I compare myself to most other ladies (wanted & planned pregnancies) here in the country, I am actually considered quite young and many people actually raise their eyebrows and say "aren't you a bit young to start having children?"
Situation here is so different, most women start to having first child at 33 or 35, some even at 40. Then some of them realise it could have been a bit too late and the birth rate plunges or 1.3 children to one woman.
Government here is trying so hard to get us young women to bear more children incl giving us lots of money and the amount is even bigger the more children you have; setting up nurseries so the children can start at the age of 1; long long long paid maternity leave of up to one year; free schooling; free healthcare; housing and other allowances etc.... but it still ain't working.
Sad place this country - you don't see as many children here and I sometimes think its really abnormal....

hi reading these posts i can see a great range of ages, one thing unites all of us were are all trying to get our BFP. i am 43 and was starting to think i was a little long in the tooth for this, keep joking that eggs have gone stale, mostly to cover great disappointment month after month. I have 2 girls 24 and 22 and a little boy 3 so would not really be end of world if not to be but that doesnt stop you becoming obsessed does it?. giving up for good in july as will have been trying a year, but seeing as i have my boy at 40 you young chicks have nothing to worry about these things just take time, for me age just isnt on my side just wish had met hubby years earlier.. good luck to one and all your BFPs are on their way x
