how old is too old for a man to produce kids

when i was about 12 i went to school with a girl my age and her dad was 70 something and she had a 2 year old brother ( same dad ) , so i guess any age its possible :)

I think that there is a difference between what age is ok to bring up children rather than being the donor so to speak. I really do think it depends on situation - you can get some really young men in their 50's and old men in their 30's. My hubby is 45 and I am 38 so we know that we are not done in yet lol but we have decided only to have 1 for us to give 1 baby full attention and energy - not sure if we would have the energy for 2 xxx

Non-smoker, exercises a lot, eats right. It's not just how much solar revolutions we've lived through.

I'm not convinced that men become too old to produce children... LOL

My OH is quite a bit older than me too, he's due to turn 50 soonish, and I take the mickey something terrible as I don't think he expected to be changing his own childrens nappies at 50, probably more likely to have been his grand kids...

I call our kids his midlife crisis... LOL I'd like a sports car...

OH would quite happily go long with me if I was wanting another after this babe, we have discussed it. In all fairness, it's me that doesn't want any more children after this one... (don't get me wrong if a pleasant surprise was to occur I would carry the pregnancy through, but I am more than sure I've having my last planned pregnancy)

OH when pushing our DD around when she was a newborn was asked if he was a proud grandad, he replied Nope, but I am a very proud Dad... The look on the womans face was a picture! :)
