how on earth do you cope

When your feeling ill and you have a toddler....I am feeling dreadful and he's so bored I feel like I can't move. What sort of things do you do to keep them entertained...cry

He will curl up with me on the sofa in a duvet and watch a film, or keep bringing me books or just potter around and play with his toys occasionally bringing something for me to look at.

My LO has a playroom she tends to go to off and on- otherwise I camp out in the living area and she'll bring toys over to me, or run around or get up on the couch with me and either snuggle or play- LOL. She thinks being on the couch is soooo cool! haha. I also keep several of her toys in different area's of the house- so when she hasn't played with something for some time, I can bring it out and it's like a new toy to her!

Sorry you feel so crummy- maybe let your LO watch a show to keep him entertained for a bit (if your Ok with that)- or read some books together- or put some music on so he has something to listen to.

Oh- my LO was entertaining herself with a hand towel the other day for 20mins! I just kept putting it on her head and she thought it was hilarious! Or I'll open a cupboard with plastic containers and storage stuff she can go nuts with. Sometimes it's the simple things they enjoy.

god i was sofa bound for 3 days a few weeks ago.. i couldnt keep my eyes open they hurt so much, i ached & actually thought i was going to dye of starvation as i just couldnt get up to do anything..

we watched films & she did loads of colouring. pottered about, helped herself to food from the fridge

shes got stuff called craft foam which i can happily just let her loose with as its not messy.

she was actually really good & helpfull! kept offering me her juice & asked if i needed medicine or a cup of tea.
