Hi everyone.... I just need some basic advice.

I am due to go on Mat Leave at the beginning of June (actually, I leave work at the beginning of May to use up holiday).... and know that I get 90% of my pay for the 1st 6 weeks. Then I go down to SMP. How often is this paid? Is it weekly or monthly? Also, If I qualify for tax credits, how often is this paid? I believe that Child Benefit is is paid weekly?

I'm just trying to work out how much I am likely to get each week/month?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Mat pay is paid exactly the same as your wages would be if you where still working.

Tax credits you can choose to have it paid weekly or monthly.

As you stated you are currently working etc your child benefit will be paid monthly.

Actually, I work for the NHS and got mine paid weekly  My tax credits and child benefit are 4weekly.

I use to get paid my ctc n cb weekly but once I got married n informed em it changed to every 4 weeks because I was now married n not single. Hope that helps xx

i get ctc and child benefit every 4 weeks. can only get it paid weekly if you are unemployed or a single parent. Maternity pay is paid the same day as your wage would have been paid, as it goes through your company. hope that makes sense

My tax credits are paid 4 weekly, smp is paid on the same day as your wages normally are, and chb unless you are single and not working, is paid monthly, otherwise, you can choose weekly.
