How reliable is FF at detecting ovulation?

Hi girls,

Based on my temps, FF has detected my O on Friday. But I got a - on an OPK on Fri.

Sat, Sun & today I've got +OPks & y'day I had pains in my lower abdomon that were almost period like pains.

Do you think FF is right & I O on Fri despite not getting my 1st LH surge until Sat?

This is all v.confusing!

Also, when should I expect AF?

Has anyone else experienced anything like this with FF?

This is my first ovulation since coming off the pill in April!

FF works on your temps - it is the most reliable way to work out if you ovulating - your LH surge can last a matter of hours - if you don't test at the right time you could miss it - are testing with FMU or in the early afternoon - I test at 2pm and my OPK and FF aligned perfectly last month.

I tested at 6pm on the Friday & got negtive but at 1pm on sat & 1pm on the sunday the OPks were positive.

Do you think I ovulated on the Friday?

We Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri PM, Sat, Sun.....

So I hope I'm not out, what do you think?!

Does the surge continue after O for a while? Would that explain my + on sat, sun, mon 1pm?

Just tested now & it was negetive so serge defo gone now!

The surge comes before O, so hopefully you will have ovulated on Saturday or Sunday - judging by your bedroom action, I would consider you covered the bases.
