LO was just prescribed Elecare formula today (like Neocate) because he is showing lots of signs of dairy intolerance and fussiness. I am just wondering how long it should take to see a difference in him?

It took about 3 days to notice any difference ( I actually thought she was worse for first couple of days on neocate and nearly stopped it!) by 1 week she was a lot better by 3 weeks she was a completely different baby! And has been ever since! ( except when we had to challange her allergy by giving her aptimil! Took her about a week to get over that!) good luck :) x x x

Thanks. He is already doing really well today so fingers crossed it only gets better from here!

i saw improvements going from breast to nutramigen, but not much, then improvement from nutramigen to Neoctae - but she is still not right, and if anything going downhill again, im starting to think this isnt a milk allergy with my LO!

My little girl is rarely happy when she is awake and i have no idea why!

When we switched from normal formula to Aptamil Pepti, we saw a difference in the first 2ish days but it was never completely right. By week 4 we were back to square 1. We then tried Neocate and she was better almost within a day. She still suffered a bit for 2ish months but it was just down to recovering and after that she had no problems at all. We switched back to cows milk at 15 months and the intolerance was gone!
