I posted this in 2nd tri, but didn't get much of a response, so I'm asking you ladies.

I have been feeling the baby a lot every day since almost 21 weeks. I can tell the definate kicks - although they don't hurt. I also can feel when he is pushing on my stomach or moving without kicking. Some of the movements are lighter. I have an anterior placenta. My doctor said I would be 28-30 weeks before the movements are strong enough to be uncomfortable. Just wondered what everyone else's movements felt like at 23 1/2 weeks.

As I recall I was aware of them and the odd one would make me jump but aside from the direct hits on my bladder they weren't really uncomfortable. Even now whilst I am aware of her more they are not that uncomfortable - she can really catch me off guard mind and has a good kick going on.

Sometimes they could be strong. I could feel them from the outside, but not all the time. Sometimes they would still be really light inside. This is still kinda how they feel but they are a bit stronger now sometimes. And I can feel what u were explaining as when he is pushing or moving but not kicking. And when he rolls over it feels like when u are on a swing and ur stomacch drops. Hiccups feel like little spasms going on in your tummy lol. They still arent uncomfortable for me though, the kicks. The most uncomfortable thing really is just when he kicks my bladder or when he is laying funny on a nerve or something and makes my back or hips hurt. Also sometimes he presses up on my lungs and lays on them and i feel a lotta pressure.

My movements at that stage were often quote soft. I have an anterior placenta so I couldn't always feel the movements. Plus my lo has a habit of curling into me with his spine on the outside of my tummy so I couldn't always feel kicks coz he was kicking into my tummy.

Baby is still quote small and gaining strength at 23 weeks

Mine were still quite light, OH felt bubs kick from outside at 23 weeks.

Now they are quite strong but I wouldnt say they were uncomfortabbe or unmanageable, just makes you squirm when she switches position or does a 360 flip lol x

I could see my stomach move from about 21 weeks, so mine were reasonably strong - they were also occasionally uncomfortable, depending on where exactly she was kicking. They have gotten a lot stronger though since then, and more uncomfortable, depending on how she's lying.

I have an anterior placenta too, and at 23 weeks i could feel her kicking but it wasn't like every day all day like it is now because they are still small enough to dart about in there and move into a position where you can't feel them.
I started to feel her all day every day from around 28 weeks.
