How to check if cervix is high?

I feel so embarsssed asking this?

I've googled and every month before my period I can't reach my cervix? But I don't know what to feel for? Check? Can someone explain please!!!??

Cervix checks drive me bonkers! I remember going crazy when I first started checking because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing!

I don't have particularly long fingers and when my cervix is high I can't reach it to know what it's doing. I can only reach it when it's low and I've only ever felt it somewhere in between right before I got my bfp! I still have no idea what I'm feeling as far as open or closed, so I mainly focus on position and firmness.

Oh, and if you can't reach it, it's definitely high!
