how to know when LO needs more ounces?

My LO only takes 4 oz at a time around every 2-3 hours. She even does this during the night. But when i've tried 5 oz bottles she doesn't finish.

She does have reflux and also some allergies but IDK how I'll know when she needs more....

I wouldn't get too concerned about it as long as she seems full on 4oz. When she continually kills bottles and goes for more is when I'd up the amount. With my daughter it's always fluctuated, well the first 6 months the amount kept getting upped but since around 7 months I've just been going with the flow, so to say. In past weeks I'd only make 70-100ml (I think that's around 2.5-3.5oz) because she wouldn't take any more and lately she'll have 130-170ml (around 4.5-6 oz) each bottle.

With mine if she is fussy after she finishes her bottle but it needs to be consistent. My dd has strange eating habits. Most of the time she is fine with four ounces but it seems at night she wants to double her feeds. I'm not doubling her bottles. At night she has to have her bedtime bottle and will NOT skip it. She eats frequently tho so IDK really. I had an easier time figuring my son out.

My LO always finishes her 4oz bottles. Sometimes she seems fine afterwards and sometimes she gets mad when its gone or eats her hand so i make her another 2 oz and sometimes she will finish it and sometimes she doesnt. I`m thinking about upping her to 5oz for a few days because I`m been making more alot lately.

I usually try it a few days and see how she does and if i`m wasting alot then I go back to what she was taking before.

When they finish the bottle completely, offer another ounce and keep offering more until they don't finish one. If you find yourself often making more, start making bigger bottles. If you find they are leaving more than an ounce with most feeds, you can drop back down. It's better to not quite finish a bottle than to risk them still being a bit hungry or to make them finish it.

My LO is nearly 10 weeks and is still only taking 3-4oz every 3 hours (6bottles a day appx). I make 5oz bottles so she always has the option of more if shes hungry but she never seems too. If anything shes taking less now than she did at 6 weeks.

She has been taking the same amount roughly since 4 weeks old, shes gaining weight well but also very fussy during feeds (has silent reflux also on gaviscon for that)

I thought by now she'd be on 5-6oz but she seems fine like this.
