Argh I totally hear you! I have been having an awful time with my DS2 the last few weeks. He was sleeping well, then at 10 weeks started waking more, 11 weeks ok, then 12 weeks hit and I have been up with him 4-5 times a night. I am so exhausted and finding it hard to deal with baby and a toddler. I agree that getting out at least once a day helps- I try go for a walk to the park and it always makes me feel better plus entertains DS1. I am feeling down though that I am so tired I feel so down about things when I know that there is nothing to feel down about (apart from being exhausted!). Things are so much worse when sleep deprived. I have cried most of the weekend!
I have to remind myself that it does get easier once they are older and in a routine but the days can be so long.
It definitely does get easier but the first few months are so hard. It's all about survival and adjusting!
Getting out helps, even if it's in the garden, a walk down the road etc. I have to do things for myself too so I don't just feel like mum. Going for a run, a bath, and eventually when you can leave baby a hobby that gets you out of the house. I go to a dance class.
