My little boy is two and a half I've tried a few times to take the bottle of milk away in the morning and before bed and replace it with a sippy up it didn't work he just cried and cried until I gave in, this morning I have put his cereal out with a cup of milk and he stood at the kitchen baby gate crying for his bottle. He's slow with speech so we have trouble getting him to understand, he is also being assessed for autism and is super sensitive. We have trouble brushing his teeth he won't allow it, crys his eyes out it's a struggle each time but we manage at least once a day to get it done within reason. Tomorrow I am planning on cutting day usage of the dummy which had been done for a good while a few months back but then he started nursery and has had all sorts of illnesses since and hasnt been able to be comforted without the dummy. Although I'm sure this will be problematic when he gets ill again. He doesn't use the dummy at all on the full day he's at nursery or the half day so i know he's capable. It's just the bottles of milk we struggle with. He really loves his morning bottle especially, I'm a little worried about the bedtime bottle as I don't feel as if he eats much at all through the day despite my trying I don't want him going to bed hungry or waking at night because he's hungry.
