Lo gets fussy for no reason in between feedings and sometimes wants a bottle early. Puts his fingers in his mouth sometimes an hour after feeding. Thing is he'll be 4 weeks Thursday and is taking 4 ounces. Is it ok to up his ounce or should I wait?

If he is finishing his entire feed every time then add an extra oz. He might leave some but that's better than still being hungry at the end of a feed :)

If he is draining the 4ozs then i would make 5ozs. Our little girl is 3 weeks on friday and is having 4/5ozs every 4 hours or so. x

My LO is 4 weeks on sunday and I make her 5oz bottles, she never finishes them but at least I know shes not going hungry, she leaves about a oz most times (apart from once last night when she finished her bottle)

xx

I always make my LO's bottles up so he leaves a little, it might be a bit wasteful but I'd rather do that and know that I'm feeding him enough than not and find out he's not putting on weight properly or something xx

If they draining and acting like they want more, add an ounce. :flow:

The above PLUS have you thought about upping his teat size? He maybe getting too tired before he finished his entire feed.

I'm having the same problem. he's not finishing his feed but wanting a bottle every 3 hours now- sometimes even 2 and half hours.

Time to up it now it seems, if he takes it great if not stop making more, it all trial and error, add another oz to the bottle for the next few feeds and see how you get on x
