I usually bring a bottle of water, and powdered formula and mix as I go. However if I am in a mall or something, how do I warm the formula for her? She likes it a little warm.

I either take a fresh bottle of boiled water out with me and put it in the thermal pocket in my bag so it stayed warm or if i'm in a cafe or some thing i just ask for a jug of hot water to stand it in. Also some places have bottle warmers in the changing areas, Mothercare do and so does my local shopping mall, worth taking a look :)

I have a tin that fits the bottle and I carry a flask of hot water with me so all I need to do is pore water in tin and warm bottle. but mothercare also has a bottle warmers in changing rooms.

I've got the Tommee Tippee flask, so I put water in that and it stays the right temp :) it works as a bottle warmer too, but that's too fiddly for me!

we take a flask of hot water with us and a plastic jar that fits a bottle in. so all we do is put the hot water into the jar and warm the bottle, then tip the hot water back into the flask.

tommeee tippee flask - £10 tesco/asda worth its weight :)

I use this too  Altho I use it as a bottle warmer ;) I wouldnt be without mine when I'm out!

Alot of restuarants etc will give you a jug of hot water if you ask, other than that a flask is a good idea too :D

I used the tommee tippee flask which was great x

Quick question, ladies: does the tommee tippee flask / bottle warmer thing work with dr brown's bottles (ie do the bottles fit in the warmer bit?)

I use Tesco wide neck bottles and they have a great big bulbous base, a bit like the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles and they fit in with no problems. I should think the Dr Brown one would fit :flower:

Yup Dr. Brown's bottles fit in the TT travel warmer no problems. Also if you are after a cool bag, they fit nicely in the MAM ones :)

They should do, they're not as wide as the TT ones so Avent ones should fit with no probs x

If the feed it less than 5 hours away, I take a bottle with freshly boiled water in my insulated bag, which keeps it hot for that long. I take the powder separately, and then if it's too hot when I need it I go to a cafe and ask for some cold water whilst I have a cuppa - some places are funny about giving you a jug of hot water, but nowhere cares if it's cold!

If i'm going to be out all day, i buy the SMA cartons of milk, and naughty as this is, i'll ask the place where we stop for lunch to stick it in the microwave for like 15/20 seconds, then give it a good shake around & check the temp is ok. Like i say, naughty, i know.

If i'm going out for a couple of hours, i'll feed her before i go out then make up a bottle, by the time she wants it, it's cooled down.

i did this once in bhs and it came back scalding, they even had the cheek to tell me it was ok when i asked for cold water to cool it down - in the end i had to pour some out and open another carton so i could pour in cool milk - would never trust anyone again
