I'm 18 weeks and the past few weeks I've been feeling a sensation in my lower abdomen , I can describe it as like a pulsing sensation goes on for a few seconds - tends to happen a 2/3 times a day or when I cough or sneeze . Is this the baby ? Might sound daft question but wasn't sure if too early to feel it as its my first . X

This is my first also, and here's my experience:
12-13 weeks I noticed a "wave" sensation, different than gas, but swore it was too early
16 weeks I felt def movement in terms of there was no question it was baby not gas
18 weeks I felt him rolling/moving but no proper kicks that everyone talks about.
20 weeks finally feel kicks...literally pops out my stomach a bit. It also sometimes feels like he is jumping, if that's possible, since it's quite a "popping" sensation

I didn't feel consistent movement until 18-20weeks. Since Jan 1st I've felt him multiple times a day and starting to learn his awake/active times...especially aflyer 8pm lol silly boy got days and nights switched

i didn't start feeling DS until around 20 weeks... it was like a goldfish in a bag if that makes sense!

I felt the swimming sensation first too, at about 18 weeks, then at 20 weeks it turned into kicks, its like a strong bump from the inside that kinda pops up, sometimes I can feel it from the outside and it pushes against my hand. Dh even got to feel one! Its a weird sensation but cool, adorable but really hard to describe. You will know a good kick when you feel it, other early movement was harder for me to figure out and be sure about what it was

Haven't felt no 2 yet but with no one the first 'flutterings' felt like pops to me. hold your hand up and on your palm flick your finger of your other hand against it. That's how I described it to OH

I am a ftm:

First movement at around 14Weeks- felt like a fish whooshing around for a few seconds.

Second movement at 16+4- very definite taps on and off until 17+3 when I felt proper kicks and rolling.

From 18 Weeks onwards felt him every day and continue To do so- kicks, hiccups, rolling, bunching like a ball To one side.

I can now tell exactly where he is as well as if he is head down or head up! He is very active in there especially in the mornings and evenings

My word sounds amazing, i jus have nothing to compare to and hard to differentiate between movements or gas etc , I'm sure it must be baby especially after the sneezing n coughing asif she's getting a wee fright lol . Thanks for all the descriptions I truly can't wait to feel her move properly X

Very early movement for me feels a little bit like the feeling you get when your eye involuntary twitches.

Exactly what I feel jjay. Was the only way to describe it xx
