I'm also Indian and my nephews name is Milan, he lives in Nashville and everyone pronounces his name correctly, sometimes they have to correct people but then they always remember (at school etc)... or close enough...kind of like Dylan with an M lol!
Haha I'm American and I didn't even think before pronouncing it Me-Lawn! Isn't that how the city is pronounced?! This whole thread has me second guessing myself...
I know somebody called this, and his name is pronounced Mill-un (a bit like what a pp said about Dylan with an M) I've also heard it pronounced Mee-lan, and then obviously how we'd pronounce the city (from the UK) Mil-an. My-lawn wouldn't enter my mind!
