Hi,

I paid for a HSG last Thursday, and expected the result by phone call later the same day. The radiologists did not give me any clue to the result and the assistant hinted towards dye pooling at the end of my tube! So when I did not get a call later with the result I called the hospital and they gave me the number of my doctors personal assistant (i went private and it cost me loads of money), they said that the Dr was on leave until Tuesday, so I waited until Tuesday, I called the assistant, left messages, but still no call for the doctor. Now its Wednesday and still no reply. I am fed up. What can I do??

Hi I had my hsg today through NHS and when I asked the receptionist she said it will take 7 to 10 working days to type and prepare the report to send it to the doctor. But since yours is private I would expect it to be given early. Sorry I couldn't give u more information

well they got back to me today, apparently I have adhesion in both my tubes and so will need further treatment of some kind :cry: But they said the tubes are not blocked, so not sure if I am infertile or not???????

Sorry to hear that. If the tubes are blocked, I read it is difficult to get pregnant until atleast one of the tubes are unblocked. But if it is adhesions, I think it might reduce the chances of getting pregnant but won't make you infertile. Good luck and hope they will clear the adhesions quickly.

Not sure where you read this but it's not fully true.

The reason for the blockage determines if the rubes can be unblocked. I'm recovering from surgery after having fibroids removed and my left ovary straighten.

While optimistic I'm doing additional homeopathic remedies to increase my chances.

To the op I'm not sure what was up with your doctor. My doctor was also out of the office, but still called me 9 am the morning after I had the procedure to give me the not so great results. Both tubes blocked. She immediately referred me to a fertility specialist.

I agree with you NDurham , sorry I should have been clear about what I meant.
