Well it's all over, what a relief. I was sooooo nervous yesterday as I sat in the hospital on my own. The hospital nurses and doctor were great though very friendly and explained the whole procedure so I knew exactly what was going to happen to me. So there I was legs akimbo whilst the speculum went in I always hate that bit even when I have a smear that's the worst bit for me. Feels very uncomfortable. Anyway time for catheta to go in and after a bit of fiddling it goes in and the first lot of xrays taken, a bit of a pause as the doctor tries to reposition it. Anyway 5 mins go by and doctor decides to try a narrower one as the catheta doesnt want to stay in my tube when the dye is passed through. All the time I am lying there trying to breath deeply and think of anything but what's happening to me. So catheta no 2 is positioned and more xrays taken .... still the dam thing wont stay in the right place !!!! arghhhhh nearly 20 mins later and catheta no 3 goes in and finally stays in the right place and xrays taken and to my relief my tubes are confirmed as CLEAR !!!!!!!!!!! yipppeeeeee thank god. It was strange as all the fiddling and different cathetas used wasnt really a problem it didnt hurt and I couldn't feel the dye being injected so that was good. Didnt find it painful although I did take some nurofen before I went. Then all equipment was removed and when I sat up there was a lot of blood and sticky dye that came out and I left a trail on my way to the loo !!! which luckily was next door to the xray room. So I had lots of time to clean myself up. Cramps then started which are not too bad although I still have them today and feel a bit tender. I then had lots of bleeding later that day and last night and passed the biggest clot I have ever seen (sorry TMI) I felt faint when I saw it on the tissue. Crumbs do you think that may have been in my tubes perhaps and the dye has moved it out ?? seemed very odd. Anyone else had this ?

I have spotting today but nothing like yesterday which was proper bleeding. I am so chuffed to have got through this and really hope this is the start of something good for me and DH. Bring on the BDing and the :bfp:

Thanks girls for all your support prior to my HSG. It really wasnt anything as bad as I imagined it would be like.
