I met with a fertility specialist yesterday for a consult. He did a long history and then sent me downstairs for bloodwork to see if I ovulated. He also said after I get my period in a few days I have to call to schedule an HSG. My good friend promptly informed me that it was the worse pain ever. Now I'm super nervous! Hoping to be on the right track towards making something happen though.

I just scheduled mine today for 9/2. I've read a lot of mixed experiences but I'm still pretty nervous myself.

Yeah I'm hoping I'm one of the "I didn't feel anything" cases lol good luck with yours, hope you are too!

Hello thought I would just say I had mine this morning and it was fast and painless. I read alot of horror stories about it, but the ladies doing it were amazing and talked me through each step and all I had was a slight twitch. For the rest of the day I have had slight cramps when I move fast and pulling heavy feelings when I laugh. You will all be fine :) xx

I thought I would be sore for the next couple of days too, but today I have been absolutely fine! Been really busy and not had one cramp. Good luck girls xxx

I just had an HSG done last week. It was not nearly as bad as I expected! Slight pressure when the catheter was put in and a bit of cramping afterwards but nothing like menstrual cramps. And it was fast! Most of the time was taken just with the set up. Tell your doc that you are nervous, mine was very comforting and chatted with me throughout. Good luck!

I had my HSG done about 2 months ago. I was told to take advil about half hour before. But for me it was a little uncomfortable I had little cramping after the HSG. For the rest of the day I was fine I packed up my camper and went camping that afternoon. The dr and nurse was great talked me through the whole thing.

CD 1 for me today so I called to schedule the HSG. Waiting on a call back now. Can't wait to get it over with.

Got my call today. Scheduled for 8:00 am this coming Monday. Eek.

Had my HSG this morning. I was super nervous but it was fine. The most uncomfortable part of it was putting the speculum in because I have a high cervix. I just felt period-like cramps as the dye was inserted. The Dr. showed me the pictures afterwards. Uterus looked good, tubes clear and dye spilling out. So we're to proceed as usual and he'll call with the next steps in a few days. Relieved that everything was all clear.

Yay, glad everything went well Braven! Always a relief to know there are no problems there :hugs:

How did yours go yesterday??

Sorry for my late response! Mine was NOTHING like I imagined! I had one small cramp while insertion of the cath and then nothing. I felt fine the rest of the day also I just had some leakage (yuck)!
I just entered my TWW and although I've been telling myself not to get my hopes up, I can't help it. I feel like if/when AF comes I will be crushed.

Yeah, I'm with you there. I'm not due to ovulate for a few days but if it doesn't happen this month I will definitely be sad, especially knowing that my tubes are clear.

I have my husband drinking V8 juice daily and taking vitamins to try and build an army of :spermy: lol Hoping to catch that egg. Good luck to you in the TWW! Fingers crossed for you.
