Hey ladies,

So I had an HSG last week (which wasnt as bad as I thought it would be) anyway. On my right fallopian tube the dye didnt go all the way through. The DR (not my RE) said that it was either a blockage or a spasm. Has this ever happen to anyone?

I had my HSG during a laparoscopic procedure. She said the dye didn't go through either tubes, but then when she put her tools in there to navigate the tubes, she didn't see any reason they would be blocked.

I have a repeat HSG to do some time next month, and it's my last chance.

But yes, sometimes the uterus will spasm out. Are you going to be able to have a repeat HSG?

Well I am not sure. I am still waiting to hear back from my RE. I am hoping it was just a spasm...How was the lap? Is it an in & out procedure? Can you get right to BDing when its over?

It was an in and out procedure. Not bad at all :) Stupid question...what is BDing?

Oh! DUH!!!! She said no BDing until I followed up w/her and that was 2 weeks later.

I had my HSG last month and the Dr said the dye wasn't going through the right tube (the left went thru right away). The Dr was persistent and had me cough a couple times and then he squeezed really hard and it went through. He was saying that could have been a spasm or blockage that needed an extra push. Did they try anything like that with you? I'm sure if the Dr hadn't tried so hard the right one wouldn't have gotten through, so even though it hurt it was worth it.

No coughing or anything...he made me turn on my right and then on my left side...when he did that the ink went a little farther but not all the way through....I really dont want to get it done again :(

I don't blame you, I hate those invasive things. Take some relaxation drugs if you have to do it again...like a pain killer and muscle relaxant. Sorry you have to go through this...the things we ladies do! When I had to do my HSG, I watched an evening full of youtube birthing videos. It put things in perspective very quickly for me!
