hsg - what to expect?

It was quite uncomfortable, it felt like there was a lot of pressure in your tubes, the docs said the tubes are so thin thats why the pressure feeling.

I think i felt so bad about mine as the guy workingthe machine didnt capture it so she had to re-do it and as i knew what was comign secong time round i tensed up.

it was over quite quick so as JASMAK said once its over its done :hugs:

Thanks everyone. I'm still nervous but at least by the end of the week it will be over. Also its been done on cd9 so hopefully we won't miss out this month

Mine really really hurt, and I hadn't done any research or anything so it was completely unexpected. I threw up and passed out BUT that's because one tube was blocked and I'd two laparacopies in the the 6 months before, so not surprising I was tender really, just wish the hospital had warned me.
Just in case there is something wrong and you are sore, have someone waiting outside and warn work you might need the whole day off. I believe taking an anti-inflamatory beforehand is meant to help too.

Well, its all over and done with now. It was a bit painful when they got the tube in and inserted the dye, but that was it. My legs felt shaky afterwards but I took my sister with me and had the day off work. On the way home I had to be sick (but I do sometimes get that when I have AF).

All in all it wasn't too bad, and we get the results of this and of dh's SA on 12th November so not too long to wait.

The nurses were absolutely fantastic btw, I can't praise them enough for putting me at ease

Glad it went well. And were both tubes clear??

xxx

Dont be scared chick. Whether you find it painful or not, it will be over really quickly. When is yours? xxx

Oh yeah, ooops, silly me, I totally forgot that you call up when you get AF and I only had mine done two weeks ago!!

You'll be fine. Def let us know when it's booked
