Hi All

Just a little background on me. Had a lap in 08 due to concerns that i had endo (which i don't) but severe PCOS both my tubes were blocked my right was scarred from Cysts etc Since then i have lost weight (over 50 pounds :) and quit smoking. My husband and i have been actively trying for #1 for over a year now and only just started seeing a FS within the last month hence the HSG.
I had my HSG yesterday and the results are in. Left tube was cleaned and cleared but my right tube refused to open. I already knew the right was no hope but still you wish. I was hoping that someone could tell me what they think the next step will be? My appt with my FS isn't until the 27th and now i'm left to google what his next plan of attack will be. Thoughts anyone?

I think they may do a SA on DH to make sure there are no issues there. They will do BW on you to make sure your hormones are where they should be and an US to make sure you are ovulating. A lot of times they start with Clomid to start/increase ovuation. They may try that for a few months and then if DH SA is good, they may talk to you about IUI coupled with clomid or another fertility med. Since you lost the weight and quit smoking, they may want you to try on your own for a while and see if you can get a BFP on your own. IVF is usually the last option to consider. I don't have PCOS so maybe the process is a little different. GL FX

I think that's about right. Because it's been a year, they will do an SA on DH anyway, but because only one tube is blocked they may just start you on clomid, even if you're ovulating, just to give your open tube a little help. Good Luck!
