Humidifier for baby room?

Did anyone get a humidifier for babies room?

A coworker (doctor) said I should get one. She's due oct 11 so her first few months will be during winter. Just curious if you all did ?

We will, as we live in a super dry climate and also am having the baby in winter.

I wanted to know too! I live in Florida where it is crazy humid, but the air conditioning makes it dry.

I had my first in the spring, but ended up buying one for her room that winter - we had the WORST October (when she was 6 months) EVER with colds and recurring bronchitis - really terrible . I was also glad for it when my son came along in November the year after too!

They really do help with colds and stuffiness.
