Hello,

I think I am going to switch Isla to this, from day 1 really she has been a bit of a guzzler, and wanting to eat every hour! I have now managed to get her on a 3 hour feeding routine however more often then not she is hungry before that!

About a week ago she was on 5 oz and as she was pretty much draining these I upped it to 6 oz and straight away she started polishing them all of as well

When I was considering switching her when she was younger then hv told me to wait to 12 weeks.

Is anyone else's LO's Hungry milk? If so how have you got on with it, and did you just switch it over, or did you gradually change it?

Any help would be hugely appreciated

I have been putting it of for ages as scared of upsetting her stomach but think I am going to pop to Tesco to get some!

Well tomorrow I would of ran out of the 1st milk, so its either quickly run and change the hungry baby milk or try it out!! - I think i'm gonna try it, cos I just feel like i'm constantly feeding her, and the fact that she's been sick too isn't good!

At first I thought it was because its so cold lol

i put LO on hungry baby milk about 5 days ago and he has become really unsettled in the last 2 days. I think his wee tummy isn't quite ready for the heaviness of it and it hasn't stopped him feeding so often.

I think the ratio is 80% casein and 20% whey in the hungry baby formula whereas it is 60% whey and 40% casein in regular formula's. The hungry baby formula's are closer to cows milk i think because as you go up in stages of formula milk the casein ratio increases and whey decreases. Hope it all makes sense lol

Hey!
I asked my health visitor about the hungry milk and she said not to use it until lo is 4 months old. It is really thick and lo's tummy is not ready for that yet.

So stupid how all HV's say different things as mine said 12 weeks!
I have brought it now anyway so I am going to give it a go!

I started Ellie on it this morning! - She woke up at 5am for a feed, gave her the first of the hungry baby milk, and she didn't have another feed till 9am!!! and she seems loads more happier and content today! not constantly whinging for food!

Hows your LO doing??

I was also told 3 months and was told you can actually cause intestinal problems by giving it earlier. A friend of mine also gave hers to her DD less than a month old and she now is dairy intolerant and the hospital told her it was Prob due to HB milk!!
