Hypospadias :(

I know this is a shot in the dark but has anyone had a son born with this condition? My husband and one of his brothers were born with some anatomical issues so I'm assuming its genetic but my son was born with his urethra on the under side of his penis just at the base of the head and the for skin doesnt cover the head completely. Sometimes an undesended testicle and a curvature of the penis is also present with this condition but he doesnt have that and his defect is pretty minor, but in still worried about the surgery to repair it. Anyone advice or experience would be appreciated.
