Hey everyone. I don't think a lot of you know me because I took a break from the board for awhile after my last loss.

My doctor has since started testing to see why I keep miscarrying. He drew about 8 tubes of blood a couple weeks ago, and Monday I am scheduled to have a hysterogram. It is when they inject some kind of solution into your uterus to measure the blood volume and check for any damages, I think.

Has anyone had this done? What can I expect? I read that for some women it is very painful and others felt nothing at all. I know I have to have a full bladder when I go in but I am also planning on taking a bunch of Motrin before to minimize cramping. This is scheduled to be done on my CD11 which I am also concerned about, because I don't want it to interfere with my ovulation on CD13-15, or whenever I decide to ovulation this month. I did read that it would only affect ovulation if they did the procedure ON ovulation day.

Anyway, any experiences would be nice if you could share!

Thanks! :flower:

At my first Fertility Specialist appointment my Dr arranged for me to have a HSG done that day I was CD5 (as we live 2 hours away, its hard for OH and I to get time off work and had been TTC for 26 months at the time). I didn't have any time to get nervous about the procedure. The nurse assisting the Dr was really nice and that was a big help. It was over in 5mins. It was uncomfortable when the tubes were inserted and period like cramping when the dye went in. but it was more uncomfortable then painful. I also had cramping for the next 2 days.

Hi dear my friend kept miscarrying like you. And there was just a minor issue I wish docs paid attention than running so many tests. Her progestrone levels didn't use to rise much. This time she's taking progesterone supplements and her pregnancy is going great. For the first time she has crossed first tri.
