Well, I had my HSG last week, which showed "something" on the right side of my uterus. my doctor showed me how the dye filled the uterus and went out to both tubes without issue, but it first had to go around something on the right side. Thinking it's scar tissue from retained placenta from when my son was delivered.

So, she's suggesting that we go ahead and do a hysteroscopy next cycle. I'm nervous about it, but hopeful that it'll be able to find what's wrong and fix it!

BUT, she did say we can TTC this cycle, because if things go well and an egg is fertilized and implants on the left side, it can be okay there. I'm scared to try and have another MC, but excited at the prospect of being pregnant again at the same time.

anyhow, any advice on the hysteroscopy would be much appreciated!

I ave the same thing with the dye missing a spot on the hsg. Im having a laparascopy and a hysteroscopy this cycle. I hope they find something!

Good luck LS2011. When are you having it done? I was told it's okay to TTC this cycle and could get lucky, but otherwise, once I start a new cycle we can schedule my hysteroscopy. Probably early next month I'm guessing.

Wondering if you ever had your hysteroscopy and how it went?

I'm scheduled to have mine next Wednesday and am nervous but also excited about it. Nervous for the whole procedure, the aftermath (balloon stent sounds scary), and not knowing how long we'll be out of the TTC game for afterwards. Also I feel like I keep reading about early MCs after the procedure, so I'm nervous about that.

Excited at the prospects of being able to say everything has been "fixed" and we can carry a pregnancy to term. Eager to get the ball rolling and take thee crucial steps forward.

Hey ladies, I had one done in Jan as they thought I had fibroids. They turned out to be polyps. The recovery was not bad. The dr's are very optimistic given that the operation went well.

Good luck!

That's great, Wanna_b_a_mom. Thanks for sharing your news. How long were you told to wait before TTC again?

Hi,

I had a hysteroscopy to remove a uterine poylp. They actually found multiple polyps. One was the size of a pea and the others smaller. I was so nervous about being put to sleep but just before they put me to sleep they gave me a strong pain killer.. I was high as a kite (I quite liked it) lol. I felt so relaxed when I woke up and relieved that the polyps were out of me. They were making me bleed inbetween periods. Hopefully I now have a healthy uterus ready to concieve :) Im not a doctor but if its just some tissue then im sure the will just cut it out like they did my polyps. You will be absolutey fine.

TTC Again, the dr told me to start trying a month later. So Jan 21st was the operation & she had us ttc in March as the uterus lining had to grow again.

You'll be ok :). Good luck

Okay, update - had the hysteroscopy on April 6th. Everything went smoothly. My RE removed some RPOC that must have been there since my last MC in December. So we were cleared to start TTC again as soon as I start a new cycle.

I had the procedure done on CD11. Today I'm on CD30 (usually my cycles are 26 days)...so WTF? Anyone know what I should expect? Is it normal to have delayed AF after hysteroscopy? I hate waiting! I'm so impatient!!!!

My AF came about 2 days after hysteroscopy. But it was very light. Felt more like it was the discharge from all the cleaning & d&c. My dr thought it would have been delayed. Don't worry about it ..... Your body may need time to readjust itself :)

Thanks, Wanna_b. I'm going back to my RE on Wednesday for my 4-week post-op appointment and ultrasound, so by then if I don't have AF I'll question it with her (or take an HPT) I guess. I'm starting to think maybe I should count the day of the hysteroscopy as CD1?

No it actually isn't day 1. U'll see some blood & that's when u count it as cd1. Good luck!! Ask RE &see what s/he thinks.

I had a hysteroscopy a while back, the worst part is the before it happens, mine didn't have any effect on my cycle. i took the day off work cause i was tired for worrying but you will be fine.

Welll it seems I might have finally gotten AF and started a new cycle 4+ weeks after my hysteroscopy. I went in Wednesday for a follow up appointment and SIS. Had some light spotting for that day and then nothing. Then yesterday mid-morning I started bleeding heavier like AF. It's lighter than my usual AF, though, so I'm not certain, but I think I'm going to count it as CD1 and see from here.

Im so sorry I never got back to you!! I fell off this thread. Anyway... i had my hysteroscopy at the same time as a laparascopy so i was in more pain. They ended up finding stage 3 endo (never had ANY symptoms) and some extra tissue in my uterus. All was removed. Best of luck to you!!! :flower:

LS2011 - Congrats on the BFP! That is great that the procedure seems to have been a success! I'm just starting my first post-op cycle (CD4) so hoping things go as well for us, too!
