I called my fertility clinic to book in for a Clomid scan on CD11 which would be 3rd Feb. Ideally they I would have the scan on CD12 but they are closed. Anyway, I call and tell them when I need the scan for and the receptionist asks when my last period started. I tell her the 24th. She then disappears for two minutes and comes back saying I should come for a scan on the 6th which would be CD14. Now this wouldn't be a problem if I hadn't been told I need to go in on CD10-13 ideally CD12. I spent five minutes arguing with her and got very stressed so my husband took the call over for me and he started arguing with her.

H - In a monthly cycle is there a CD0?
She replies
H - Right, so if her period arrived on the 24th, that would be CD1?
She replies.
H - Okay, so going by what you said, CD1 is 24th, 2 is 25th ...........11 is 3rd, 12 is 4th, 13 is 5th and 14 is 6th. That would make her scan later than CD12 would it not?

She disappears for a couple of minutes comes back and I have an appointment on CD11, as requested at the start of the call.

This is my ninth round on Clomid and when I called for the scan and the previous eight rounds I simply said "I need to book a Climdd scan for the *insert date*" and received the appointment no worries. She isn't even new and the rules haven't changed as someone else I know called before me to book hers - prompting me to book mine.

haha you hubby told her:) smart man :) at least now its all figured out :) thanks for the laugh very sweet :)

your hubby sounds very switched on! any chance he can give mine some lessons in assertiveness as well as lttc???

lol princesslou I totally get where your coming from, they aren't exactly switched on!

 :dohh: I hate talking to the booking people/receptionists on the phone.. they always don't know what they're talking about (and I think half the time I know more than my obgyn!)

My little kitty is more switched on than half the staff in that place. Every time I go they are all stood around the reception area gossiping. Lol. Oh, looks like they have reopened as the scan is in the hospital as normal. Z

Oh is it, thats good, they would have needed to get the all clear from an external body to be able to reopen so it will be ok. X
