I bought a doppler, but have a question

Hi ladies my doppler has arrived its a hi baby lcd one and I was going to wait till OH came home but obviously I could not lol well not sure I heard the baby or not to be honest, I tried it low down and just got wooshing sounds tried it higher to left and right got my heart for defo it was flashing up 70 - 80 bpm, when i move it comes up with a high rate that disapears im just assuming that is interference from movement, but just twice a bit higher than expected I got 166 and 176 that lasted a few seconds then disapeared then one time it changed to my heart rate after it had disapeared, could this be it and it just moves out the way really really quickly or just the machine playing up??? I know i could also be a bit early yet. Have any of you got used one?? I also had just had a wee so will do it with a full bladder later as well

It sure sounds like baby's hb! Its really hard to find it this early though, so ya, you'll keep losing it. I had one, but a really cheap one, it said it would only work from 20 some weeks. The ones like the drs have, ya, you could hear it way earlier. So, I guess you only heard one hb so far? Other then ur own

Sounds about right to me.. baby is really tiny atm and probably doing alot of swishing about soooo thats prob why you haven't quite got a continuous reading at this point..

I remember someone on here saying that babes hb should sound like a gallopping horse...

tried again this eve with OH and NOTHING lol just my heart bumping along and lots of swooshing but no baby heartbeat, will try again just once a day i think though, hoping to keep it fun and not worry about it lol and yes when i think i did hear it was only one, lol lol unless it was two different ones i heard seperatly LOL LOL

Hun it's normal to not consistently find baby's HB until second trimester. But the 160-170 you got sounds right!

I wouldnt even try yet! I have my brothers (hes a GP) and he wouldn't even give me it until 15 weeks - you might end up stressing yourself if you try this early.

im not stressed, I know some women can find it so early but a lot cant, so im not worried about it, and knowing me I will have the baby that is the best at hide and seek ever lol

As long as you aren't stressed have fun playing chase the baby for the next few weeks!

I have managed to find it a couple of times now 166 bpm the other day and 155 yesterday my OH was winding me up saying its two different ones coz of the change in hb lol lol
