I can't do it anymore!!!!!!

I hear ya hun, I always went in the minute Ava actually cried too, I soon learned she would settle back down on her own , but she would take at least 10 minutes or so.... hard to hear them cry though...

Hope you can catch up on your sleep! xx

Just wanted to check in and see how your second night went doing this?
I am in the same position, LO is 10 months tomorrow and her sleeping sucks. It always has been bad, but at times we have managed to get her to go til about 3 or 4am before I feed her, with OH settling her. But at the moment she won't have a bar of that, she just screams until I feed her and is waking every 1-3 hours. Not fun.

Has this plan continued to work for you?

Sounds like progress! I'd try that myself but we moved her back into our room so I always pick her up the moment she makes a sound so she doesn't wake OH.

Well, the second night I went in around midnight to feed her and that was it, she was up and down two or three times by herself.
Third night I had to go in twice, she started breaking a tooth
fourth night she was really breaking the tooth, screaming every two hours but I only went in once after she was whimpering for an hour off and on and fed her, then she slept fine the rest of the night.

Here we are night 5, should be better as it looks like that stinkin tooth is finally all the way broken through!

Going in once (or even twice) is ok...... WAY better than 12 times or more!!

Yeah, it's super hard when they are teething - just when I think Lucy's sleep is getting better she starts teething or gets a cold or something and then it's back to Square One again!

If you can be bothered updating I would love to hear how things are going.

Well last night wasn't too bad. Her humidifier ran out of water at 11:30 and the red light came on and woke her up to screaming, I had to go in because I had to turn it off..... which resulted in me feeding her..
Then she was up around 2:30ish for a few minutes crying. But i didn't go in there at all! Go me! (I may be more proud of myself than I am of her when it comes to resisting the cry)
She didn't wake again until 6:30am. :happydance::happydance::happydance:

AND she took TWO EXCELLENT NAPS Yesterday and today! All four over an hour long, almost 2 hours for her afternoon naps! She's always been a 30 minute napper so that was rpetty cool. Would be better if we were at home while she was napping so I could get stuff done, but hey, we don't live in a perfect world :haha:

Thanks for the update! So glad to read that things are progressing well.

We have tried to drop some of the night feeds and get her to go a longer stretch (i.e. four hours) without a feed, with DH settling her - first night was awful, but when we tried the next night she settled for DH every time really quickly until about 4am...same with the next night...and then last night she slept from 8.15pm til 5.15am without waking up once!!! She has NEVER done that. Don't know if it will happen again, and unfortunately DH is going away for 3 nights tomorrow....but hey, it gives me hope.

This is very encouraging! George has been waking just once or twice a night since moving into his own room but the past two nights he has been up three times. That in itself isn't too bad, but I worry that he will go the same way as my daughter who at 8 months suddenly started waking 5+ times each night. We did a similar sort of thing with her to what you're doing and it worked for her.

Well we have had ups and downs but last night was good, from 7p - 5:15a. She woke once @ 11:30 but I let her CIO and she cried for 27minutes.. but other than that no wake ups. That's progress! I got up with her at 5:15 and glad I did, she had diarrhea.. I just had a feeling to get up with her, so glad that I listened to that instinct

I did nt bf I think becAuse of this issue I think it's quite common with bf my mum had the same problem and ended up still bf at 2 and a half I think it scared me :( . It's def. co fort thing as sometimes I have this problem but with the dummy and on occasions had to feed to settle . Sorry I do t give any advice but I thing try and encourage a comfort ? If you don't already and the water thing sounds good . Hope you sort it hun as its horrible having such broken sleep xx

Haven't read whole post, but have you tried co sleeping for a bit? It might just be a phase and even if you just did it a couple of times a week then at least you would get a few nights sleep to re energise your self.
