I don't know what to do anymore....HELP!!!

Bryson will be 2 the 15th of October. For the past 4 months or so he whines all the time. If I am not literally giving him my undivided attention he crys and whines ALL the time. I know nothing is wrong, because as soon as I start playing with him he stops crying and starts playing with me and laughs.

All the whining is driving me crazy! I have to listen to it whenever I am cleaning and doing laundry. He throws the biggest tantrums. He throws things and yells, screams, and crys.

Is this normal behaviour? What can I do? I ask him to help me with putting clothes in the washer and he will "help" me sweep, but after a few minutes he's right back to whining again.

Please HELP!!!

We haven't had to do this with ours yet but someone gave me this advise.

Get down on their level and explain what you are going to do - i.e. the washing up, hanging the washing out.
Tell him that if he whines then you will not give him any attention.
Ask him to repeat what you've said so you know he understands you.
Then stick to it.

It sounds like he is whining for you attention so when you are giving it to him he is linking whining to getting a good thins - you.

The reason we haven't started this with our little one is because she doesn't talk at all yet so i don't feel she's in the right place for it.
