Today he's been feeding loads better, but my nipples have taken a battering, the skin is coming off them and their really sore

Your nips will need to get used to BFing. It wont take too long fingers crossed. x

oh hon starting out is a rollercoaster i felt exactly the same as you!!! but honestly, another week and you will feel different again, i think it took a couple of weeks for my nipples to toughen up. mine bled and were cracked too i used a little BM like others have said and tonnes of the Lanisoh cream it really helped!

each day gets easier, soon you will be bfeeding like a pro! xxx
