is there any way I can encourage her to feed less :dohh:

We're back to 6 feeds now........................

Paint some of that nasty tasting nail bite stuff on???? :D

I think it's clear actually Anna.....:muaha:

Hmmmm........sorry for taking the piss T. :hugs: I am actually trying to think of a good tactic for you......

I know it's because of her teeth. I've even tried to get a dummy in her mouth but nada. She wasn't having any of it :rofl:

Have you tried diversion tactics? When she asks say you'll feed her later and then get an activity going - colouring, baking or what ever. If it's close to meal times, get her to help you to make her lunch. My nephew is a crap eater ATM and just wants milk (he was FF) so when he was asking for 'mimi' yesterday and it was tea time, we made pita bread pizzas. He could spread the tomato on then and sprinkle the cheese. He loved getting involved and although he still didnt eat well, he ate better. You can do sarnies and get her to us a biscuit cutter to change their shapes.

Another think you could try is maybe saying to her that now she's a big girl it's babies turn for boobie or what ever you call it and get HER to BF her baby dolls???

i agrree with the diversiion thing. maybe offer her some grapes or raisins or somethin?? either that or just rub tcp on your nips!

When Brenn wants to nurse out of schedule actually let me say "schedule", I will try to divert him, once or twice, if he keeps asking, then I let him nurse.

With Kaya I used to offer her food or drink before I would let her feed, I also had to learn how to say 'no, later' to her.

The diversion tactics sounds good to me! Do you offer her something else to drink or snack on? There comes a time when you just need to say no I think too... Its all up to what your comfortable with though. 6 feeds is alot.

Hayden was the same way, our pedi recommended he diversion as well and also offering food before nursing. To try and never nurse if it was close to meal time and instead offer a bit of water or something in case he was thirsty then try and get him to eat, then offer breast so more for comfort, quench thirst after, and trying to get him to fill up more on solids

Tabs still goes through phases of wanting BF more nd more, i just try like others say to distract her. Though if she keeps on asking i will just let her feed.. normally i just try to BF her before each naptime and bedtime.. Though now she just thinks milk=sleep :dohh:

I offered her milk, she said no.
I offered her food, she ate it, still wanted to feed.
We played.
We played some more.
We sang some songs and did some colouring...

And after that hour I gave in :dohh:

She is a persistant little boobie addict!

i was almost 3 when i eventually stopped and my mum said she used to try putting mustard on her boobs to discourage me... not sure it worked though...

:rofl: I have totally no advice sorry i have a monster too :dohh: She now tries to grab at my legs as i walk by...ha ha!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

OMG thats so funny :) Maybe i'll try that later on, though she might just shout at me.

Nap = Boobie
Sleep = Boobie
Breakfast = Boobie
Hurt herself = Boobie
Just for the sake of it = Boobie

:rofl:

:rofl: Yea i feel like that too, i feel like a milk machine...she totally does not care for me at all just the milk
