First of all I just want to say how sorry I am that you had to go through a placental abruption... they are very frightening and hard to go through...Second of all, about the high blood pressure, there are medications you can take during pregnancy to help keep it lower and placental abruption is not very common. Some people have them more than once but others have them with no warning signs and have no further complications after. This is your decision and it must be very difficult to make. I am currently wanting to try again after my loss but am scared of having an abruption again and suffering from high blood pressure again. I talked to a few different perinatologists and they said I have nothing to worry about... but mine didn't get to the extreme that yours did(blood pressure) I lost my son at 37 weeks due to a total placental abruption. He lived for 8 hours, and needed blood transfusions etc... I also needed transfusions etc and it was so scary. There needs to be more medical research done about abruptions to help women have hope for healthy subsequent pregnancies.
I just read more into your posts and that goodness! I know they told me m risks of another abruption did go up after suffering from the first one, but didn't go up enough to worry. So glad you found out that information. I wish you a very healthy pregnancy and delivery! Best of luck
So sorry for your situation... my heart breaks for you....
